The Italian artist and monk Fra Giovanni da Fiesole was nicknamed Beato Angelico (Angelic). Like no one else, he knew how to convey soft lyricism and a special subtle atmosphere of gospel stories.

Fresco “Madonna and Child with St. Dominic and St. Thomas Aquinas” once adorned the wall of the Dominican monastery in Fiszols, but after its abolition, it was carved from the wall and sold to two Italian artists. The work belongs to the late work of the master.

The images of the saints are surprisingly harmonious and harmonious. In the center is the Madonna and Child, to her left is St. Dominic with a lily in her хэнд, a symbol of purity, to the right is St. Thomas of Aquinas with an open book of Holy Scripture. The works of Fra Beato Angelico organically combined the realistic achievements of the masters of the Giotto circle and the soft, soulful images of Simone Martini."

And all the best they did
